A Compact Secondary Substation (CSS) is an assembly comprising of an enclosure containing medium voltage (MV) switchgear, distribution transformers, low voltage (LV) switchboards, connections and auxiliary equipment to supply LV energy from MV systems. We manufacture the Canopy in our Mother plant under IEC name and LV switchboard is made in CMKL.

Key features and aspects of Compact Substations (CSS) include:

  1. Integration of Components: CSS integrates various essential electrical components, including transformers, medium voltage switchgear, low voltage switchgear, protection devices, and control systems, all within a single enclosure.
  2. Small Footprint: CSS is designed to have a small physical footprint, making it suitable for installations in areas with limited space, such as urban environments or industrial facilities.

A Compact Substation, or CSS, is a self-contained unit that integrates various electrical components, including transformers, medium voltage switchgear, low voltage switchgear, protection devices, and control systems, into a single compact enclosure. It is designed for power distribution in areas with limited space or where traditional substations are not feasible.

Compact Substations are commonly used in urban areas, industrial facilities, commercial complexes, mining sites, renewable energy installations, and other locations with limited space. They provide a space-efficient solution for power distribution.
